Michael S. Markovitz is an alumnus of The Pennsylvania State University where he graduated with a degree in Telecommunications Technology. Michael has over 20 years – experience working with different companies in the Telecommunications industry. Through the years he has established himself and his company as one of the Industry’s Leading Experts in Telecommunications.
Not one to rest on his laurels, the founder of Northeast Data, Inc. continues to hone his expertise by ensuring that he stays up-to-date with the most advanced technological improvements in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Markovitz insists that he not only continue to develop his expertise but his staff continue to develop professionally as well. This is the result of his desire to ensure that the clients of Northeast Data, Inc. receive only the best professional services available. Along with his numerous years of hands on Engineering / Design / Installation – Industry Experience, Michael is a member of BICSI – (Building Industry Consulting Services International), is certified by numerous Manufacturers including Corning Cable Systems, Panduit, Belden, Berk-Tek, Ortronics, Fluke, etc. Michael is Certified by the CWNP – Certified Wireless Network Professionals Association as a Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) and as a Certified Wireless Design Professional (CWDP)
When not working at providing Northeast Data’s clients with top notch services, Mr. Markovitz is actively involved with his community. As a member and Director of the Board for the Tunkhannock Rotary Club, Mr. Markovitz exemplifies and lives his life by the Rotarian Motto of “Service Above Self”. Additionally for the past 24 years, as a Volunteer with the Tunkhannock Community Ambulance Association, Mr. Markovitz gives his free time to help ensure the community in which he lives remains safe and its residents healthy. Michael is currently the Chief / President of the Ambulance Association, serves on the Board of Directors, and is First Assistant Captain of the Dive Rescue Team. Michael is a National and Pennsylvania Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B), Pennsylvania Department of Health Certified Vehicle Rescue Technician, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission Certified Swift Water Rescue Technician, SSI Certified Rescue SCUBA Diver, and Certified Rope Rescue Technician.
